Subject Untitled started in mid 2008 as really a side project to provide live music for a local hip hop artist with two former "VarSol" band members and childhood friends Daniel Ritchey and Jason Schad, along with Steve Gordon, a co-worker of Ritchey's. When the lights came on and the smoke cleared the newly formed trio decided they were not done. Daniel and Jason recruited their former "VarSol" drummer and long time friend Scot Sadowski and former vocalist from "The Awakening" Chris Cothren. It was an instant connection, and Subject Untitled was born, this time for a purpose, a mission to spread the word of God through our love of music. After only a few months together the band entered and won their first battle of the bands. The next few months were difficult as they parted ways with Gordon and added former "No Scope" guitarist Mike Parsons. The band just continued to write and soon found themselves in the studio recording their first single "The Journey". They show no signs of slowing down either. The Journey is steadily gaining more and more popularity on indie and internet radio and the band is getting started on their first EP to be released later this year. A little grunge, a little new metal, and a little funk topped off with beautiful melodies and inspiring heartfelt lyrics you wont be able to stop singing along. Subject Untitled is here to stay with a goal to give people hope, strength and encouragement to lead your life through Christ.
